SAGE: Vesta Lee Baker, 97, of Sage died Sunday, Jan. 28, 2007, in a Batesville hospital.
Born Jan. 10, 1910, in Lunenburg, she was the daughter of John William and Martha Ann Haley Denton. She was a homemaker and a member of the Extension Homemakers Club, the Woman's Missionary Union and Midway Baptist Church in Melbourne.
Survivors include two sons, Bob Baker of Sage and Joe Baker of Mount Pleasant; five grandchildren, Brittany Baker and Stephanie Baker, both of Mount Pleasant, Jonathan Baker of Violet Hill, Bill Baker of Chicago and Brandi Miller of Jonesboro; two great-grandchildren, James Baker Jr. of Columbia, Wis., and Bailey Baker of Violet Hill; and a step-grandson, Donald Baker of Spokane, Wash.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bob Baker; a daughter, Martha Oliver; a stepson, Don Baker; and a step-grandson, James Baker.
