Amos "Jack" Thomas was born July 28, 1928 in Leachville, Arkansas, to Filo and Alice Copeland Thomas. He married Lovene Boswell on October 21, 1950 in East Prairie, Missouri. He was a carpenter who worked at Raynor's Garage Doors. Jack Thomas lived in Mountain Home, AR since 1978, moving from Amboy, Illinois. He liked woodworking, playing his guitar, fishing on the lakes and rivers, hunting, and he enjoyed spending time with his kids. Mr. Thomas died Monday, June 19, 2006 at Regency Hospital in Springdale, AR. He was 77.
Survivors: His wife, Lovene Thomas, of Mountain Home, children, Lacretia Madding, Shirley Lohse, Jerry Thomas, all of Dixon, Illinois, Darrel Thomas, of Rochelle, Illinois, Violet Lachat, of Dixon, Illinois, Darla Rainbolt, of Flippin, AR, and Tommy Thomas, of Mountain Home, two sisters, Mary Ada Ervin Thomas (Doodle), and Sara Martha Magalin Thomas (Bug), Half brothers and sisters, Thelbert (Shot) Hawley, David (Bo) Eugene, Pee Wee, Bill, Jeep, Danny, Linda Kay, Debbie, Joanie, Johnny, Tony, Dean, Harvey, 14 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, and 1 sister.
Funeral: A Memorial service for Amos "Jack" Thomas of Mountain Home, AR will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, June 22, 2006 at Kirby-Boaz Funeral Home chapel with Brother Ken Burton officiating.

A Funeral Service for Lovene Thomas of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 3:00 pm, Thursday, June 23, 2016, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Brother Ken Burton officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, June 23, 2016, 2:00 pm until time of service.
Lovene passed away June 20, 2016, at the age of 83. She was born January 11, 1933, in Ridgely, Tennessee, the daughter of James and Rhoda Wilds Boswell. She married Amos Thomas on October 21, 1950, in East Prairie, Missouri. Lovene lived in Mountain Home since 1983, moving from Amboy, Illinois. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Mountain Home and enjoyed participating and helping out all she could. Lovene loved listening to music and dancing, gardening, spending time with her grandchildren, and made wonderful sweet tea.
Lovene is survived by her seven children, Lacretia Madding of Rock Falls, IL, Shirley (Jim) Lohse of Dixon, IL, Jerry (Mary) Thomas of Dixon, IL, Darrel Thomas of Dixon, IL, Violet (Jeff) Wingert of Dixon, IL, Darla (Darrin) Rainbolt of Flippin, AR, and Tommy (Kim) Thomas of Mountain Home, AR; sister, Mary B (Alvie) Denning of Mattoon, IL; brother, Lester Boswell of Medford, OR. Lovene had fourteen grandchildren and twenty one great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and eleven siblings.
Memorials may be made to the Paragould Childrens Home.
