Mrs. Leon (Crawford) Ivie departed this life on Monday, May 7, 2012 at Portageville, Missouri. She was born October 8, 1924, on the Hurricane Farm near Grubbs, Arkansas, to Robert Ransom Crawford and Mary Frances (Ramsey) Crawford. She married Mr. George Ivie on April 18, 1940.
In 1993, Mrs. Ivie moved to Portageville, Missouri to live with her daughter and family. She attended First Baptist Church in Alexander, Arkansas, until moving to Missouri. Mrs. Ivie then attended First Assembly in Portageville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Ivie; her parents; five sisters; four brothers; and one grandson.
Mrs. Ivie leaves to cherish her memories, two sons, Dale Ivie of Searcy, and Ron Ivie and wife Judy of Heber Springs; one daughter, Louise Koller and husband Robert of Portageville, Missouri; one sister, Clay Simmons of Ashdown, Arkansas; eight Grandchildren, Chris Ivie and wife Kay of Little Rock, Tami Richards and husband Michael of Searcy, Leslie Koller and wife Cindy of Benton, Kevin Koller of Benton, Kim Dooley and husband Larry of Portageville, William Koller and wife Rachael of Portageville, Shari Ivie of Little Rock, and Genna Knight and husband Tony of Heber Springs; thirteen great-grandchildren, Megan Smith, Alex, Caleb, and Jacob Dooley, Macey, Taylor, and Josh Koller, Cameron and Brittany Ivie, Brandon, and Ashley Hinds, Tyler Kimes, and Mark Mobley; six great-great grandchildren, Matthew and Lilly Beth Montgomery, Remington Dooley, Terrance Boyd, and Aiden and Mason Meadors; and one special friend who has been there for her for 15 years, Pete Totty.
Graveside services are 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Ballew's Chapel Cemetery.
