Mr. Keith Bernard Smith, age 63, of Neelyville, MO., passed away Tuesday, February 1, 2011 surrounded by his family in Willow Springs, MO. He was born January 11, 1948 in Corning, AR., the son on JB and Glenna (Stafford) Smith. He was a 1966 graduate of Corning High School. He earned his Bachelor’s, Master’s and Specialist Degrees from Arkansas State University. Keith was a lifelong educator and administrator at schools in Missouri and Arkansas, most recently teaching in the Doniphan School District. He was a dedicated educator guiding many students over his teaching career.
Keith enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, Ashtin and Cade. Keith is survived by two daughters Michelle Smith of Dexter, MO., Tina and husband Matt Roberts of Willow Springs, MO.; grandchildren Ashtin and Cade Roberts of Willow Springs, MO. He is also survived by three nieces Melanie Stormes, Amber Smith, Kassie Smith and a nephew Jamie Smith plus a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Ronnie Smith; aunt Margaret Stafford and nephew Austin Stormes.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, Febraury 6, 2011 at 2:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Tony Monreal officiating. Burial will follow the service in the Corning Cemetery. Public visitation will be held Sunday, Febraury 6, 2011 from 12:00 noon until the time of service.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Sandlin, Ron McCutchen, Randy Cates, Paul Hicks, Matt Morin, Matt Roberts.
