Sept 23, 1920 - July 30, 1999
Bronson Smith, 78, of Corning, Ark., died Friday, July 30, 1999, at University Medical Center in Little Rock. He was born Sept. 20, 1920 at Corning.
Mr. Smith was a farm laborer and worked at Corning Rice Dryer. He was of the Protestant faith.
Mr. Smith served in the U.S. Army during World War II. On Oct. 7, 1945, he married Mary Lou Morgan at Corning. She survives.
Other survivors include three sons, David Smith of Pocahontas, Ark., and Stephan and Mackie Joe Smith, both of Mammoth Springs, Ark.; two daughters, Bronda Fields and Shelli McMasters, ,both of Corning; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. this evening at Ermert Funeral Home in Corning. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Jimmy McMasters officiating. Burial will be at Corning Cemetery.
