ROGERS — Ezekiel B. "Ed" Hughes, 89, of Rogers passed away March 24, 2016, in Rogers. He was born Oct. 16, 1926, in Indianola, Miss., the son of George Washington and Estelle Barry Hughes.
Ed was the founder of the Hanna House in Rogers for 25 years. He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Rogers and also attended the St. Stephens Catholic Church in Bentonville.
He was preceded in death by two grandsons, Barry and Matt Hughes.
He is survived by his sons, Randy Hughes and wife, Sue of Rogers and Greg Hughes and wife, Kris of Sorrento, La.; two grandchildren, Sarah Duplessis and Jeremi Hughes; and one great-granddaughter, Brianna Hughes; and his caregiver, Paul Aiello.
Funeral mass: 10 a.m., Wednesday, March 30, 2016, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the St. Vincent Cemetery, Avoca, Ark.
Visitation: 5:30 to 7:30, Tuesday at Benton County Funeral Home, 306 N. 4th, Rogers. Memorial contributions to the Samaritan House. Online condolences to www.bentoncountyfuneralhome.com.
