ROGERS — Kenneth "Kenny" Melton. 52, of Rogers crossed over into Heaven on Jan. 9, 2014, at Mercy Hospital in Rogers. He was born on July 22, 1961, in San Diego, Calif., to the late Dennis Melton and Sonya Melton Ford.
He married the love of his life, Cindy Melton, on Nov. 25, 1985. Kenny worked for Glad Manufacturing/Clorox Company for 24 years. He took an early retirement in April 2005. He began working far Walmart Financial Shared Services in June 2005 in the accounts payable department and was working in the Walmart customer service department as a document retrieval specialist.
Kenny had a servant's heart and enjoyed helping those in need. He was a member of Victory Church in Springdale. Kenny graduated from Springdale High School in 1979.
He is preceded in death by his father in 2003.
He is survived by his loving wife, Cindy; his mother, Sonya Melton Ford of Rogers; his brother and sister-in-law, Mark and Lynn Melton of Rogers; his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Sherry and John Murphy of Elizabethtown, Ky.; sister-in-law, Leanna McDougal of Rogers; brother-in-law, Steven McDougal and family of Camden, Ark.; and several nieces and nephews, as well as a host of friends.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 13, 2014, at Benton County Funeral Home, 306 N. 4th St., Rogers, with Pastor Billy Coffman. Interment will follow in the Pinnacle Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be 4 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude or your favorite charity.
A celebration of life will be noon Monday at the Assembly of God Church, Dixieland and Oak Street, Rogers.
