LITTLE ROCK — Erin Kahylene Propst, age 40, of Little Rock entered the gates of Heaven on Dec. 7, 2015. She was born in Little Rock on Jan. 15, 1975, to Ronald and Regena (Vanzant) Shelby of Rogers, Ark.
She was a graduate of Rogers High School. She earned her BS in Biology from the University of Mississippi and her Master of Health Administration from the University of Missouri. She was an employee of Baptist Health for 15 years.
She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church, Little Rock Junior League, American College of Health Care Executives, longtime volunteer for Komen Race for the Cure, Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE), Arkansas Health Executives Forum (AHEF), and served on the board of Baptist Health Federal Credit Union. In 2010, she was awarded the C.E Melville Young Administrator of the Year Award.
She is survived by her husband and best friend of 11 years, Matt Propst of Little Rock; her parents; her sister, Abigail Goins (Chris) of Dallas, Texas; her brother, Mathew Shelby (Jenny) of Rogers, Ark.; grandparents, Fred and Kahylene Vanzant of Lowell, Ark., Lora Shelby of Mayflower, Ark.; father and mother-in-law, John and Terri Propst of Jefferson City, Mo.; brother-in-law, Kurt Propst (Lindsay) of Holt Summit, Mo.; five nephews, Graham Coins, Hutch Coins, Sawyer Shelby, Sam Shelby, Eli Propst; two nieces, Alexis Propst, Alivia Propst.
A Celebration of Erin's Life will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 11, 2015, at Calvary Baptist Church, 5700 Cantrell Road, Little Rock, Ark., 72207. A gathering of family and friends will take place before the service starting at 9:30 a.m. in the Hospitality Room at Calvary Baptist Church.
