MELBOURNE: Anna Pruett Jackson, 66, of Melbourne died Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2006, in Little Rock.
Born Nov. 14, 1939, in Cleveland, she was the daughter of Eugene Pruett and Nana Mae Grimes Pruett Harvell. She was a 1959 graduate of Mount Pleasant High School. She was a retired licensed practical nurse and had worked at the Fleur-Daniels Hospital in Houston. She was the current president of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Women's Auxiliary in Melbourne and a member of the Ozark Travelers Western Square Dance Club in Mountain View. She was of the Protestant faith.
Survivors include her husband, Jack Jackson; a son, Tim Smith of Houston; a daughter, Sonja Stephens of Pleasant Plains; a brother, Dale Pruett of Kimball, Neb.; a sister, Katherine Smith of Bushnell, Neb.; three grandchildren, Allen Cathey of Russellville, Samantha Smith of Oklahoma and Bradley Cathey of Pleasant Plains; a great-grandchild, Thomas Adam Cox of Oklahoma; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her stepfather, Ira Harvell; and a sister, Karen Woken.
Burial will be in Reeves Cemetery in Guion
