June 9, 1966 - June 9, 2015
James A. (Buddy) Land, 49, of Holland, went to be with the Lord on June 9th, 2015, his birthday. He was born in Conway to James Glynn and Donna Land, on June 9th 1966.
He was preceded in death by his dad, James Glynn Land; grandparents A.J. and Mamie (Gibbs) Land, and Joe and DeEsta (Fugatt) Brakebill.
Buddy is survived by his loving mother, Donna Wiley; sister, Teleia Abbott; brother, Joey (Nicole) Land; and several nephews and nieces.
He was a mentor to many children, and his love for them was unsurpassed. He touched the lives of so many and helped many people. Buddy never met a stranger and loved meeting new people, greeting everyone with a smile and kindness. His unconditional love for all made him the loving person he was. He liked music, fishing, tinkering with his hobbies, visiting with family and friends and taking walks with his dog, Red. He was loved dearly by his family and will be missed greatly by all that knew him.
A graveside service will be at Oakland Cemetery in Holland on June 17th at 11:00 a.m. with visitation to follow at Holland community center.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made at Bank of America to James (Buddy) Land memorial fund.
