James Christopher Britt, 45, of Hampton, Arkansas, formerly of El Dorado, Arkansas, died Friday, May 27, 2011, at Magnolia Regional Medical Center.

Born December 9, 1965, in El Dorado, Arkansas, he was the son of Wallace, Sr. and Mary Alice Green Britt. James was employed by C&C Steel Company of Magnolia, in the Maintenance Department. He was of the Baptist faith.

Preceding him in death were his parents; three brothers, Wallace Britt, Jr., Thomas M. Britt, Sr., and William Walter Britt.

Survivors include his wife, Angela Braswell Britt of Hampton, Arkansas; daughter, Brittnie Britt, and son, George M. Britt, both of Hampton, Arkansas.; step-daughter, Amber Temple of Hampton, Arkansas; biological mother, Carolyn Stanford of El Dorado, Arkansas; biological father, Agee W. Yarbrough of Camden, Arkansas; three sisters, Mary Ann Montgomery of Dallas, Texas, Krystal Yarbrough of Camden, Arkansas, and Angela Evans of Prescott, Arkansas; four brothers, John David Britt of El Dorado, Arkansas, George Timothy Britt of Strong, Arkansas, Agee Johnson and Everett Yarbrough both of Camden, Arkansas; numerous nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, May 29, 2011, at Young's Chapel with Bro. Bob Inman officiating. Interment will follow at Arlington Cemetery under the direction of Young's Funeral Directors.

Visitation will be from noon until service time.

Serving as pallbearers will be John David Britt, Buck Couch, Ron Elliott, Terry Green, Brian Jackson, Pete Mann, and Steven Souter.
