Jesse Marie (Burley) Armer, age 94 of Dallas, TX, formerly of El Dorado, passed from this life on Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at Lakeland Hills Assisted Living in Dallas. She was born on December 22, 1918 in Union County, Arkansas to the late Jesse and Estelle (Goodwin) Burley. Marie was a lifelong homemaker and loved spending time with her family and friends, even if only through a phone conversation. She especially enjoyed going shopping, usually with her sister, Bobbie Jean. Marie was known as the car lady and loved getting a new car, sometimes every few years. She also enjoyed watching Political talk on TV.
Marie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John Henry Armer; one brother, Jay Burley; two sisters, Bobbie Jean Gay and Alvern Suttles.
Those left to cherish her memory include; one son, Larry Armer of Dallas, TX; one grandson, David Shadwell of Houston, TX; two nieces, Paula Robertson and Marcie Etheridge both of El Dorado; one nephew, Alan Gay of El Dorado and numerous great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 16, 2013 at Bailey Chapel with Rev. Bruce Murphy officiating. Burial will follow at Arlington Memorial Park under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home of El Dorado.
Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. up until 2:00 p.m., service time, on Friday at Bailey Chapel.
