Albert Douglas “Pete” Harrison 80,of Texarkana, Ark died Saturday August 30,2003 in a local nursing home. Mr. Harrison was born October 26,1922 in Texarkana. He was retired from Lone Star Ammunition Plant, a member of Cross Pointe Baptist Church, a Mason and a World War II Army and Air Force veteran. He was preceaded in death by his wife, Dorothy Marie Harrison; and one son, Rex Harrison. Survivors include one son, Doug Harrison of Queen City, Texas; two sisters, Louise Smith and Kathy White of Texarkana; two grandsons, Jeffrey Harrison
and Scott Harrison of Texarknaa; two granddaughters, Chrissy Collins of Hope, Ark; and Elena Oliver of Queen City; eight great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday in East Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Steve Gibbs officiating,
under direction of East Funeral Home, Downtown. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Dorothy Marie Harrison 75,of Texarkana, Ark died Monday July 30,2001 in a local hospital. Mrs. Harrison was born May 31,1926 in Little Rock. She was retired from GTE and Skaggs Alpha Beta. She was preceaded in death by one son, Rex Allen Harrison. Survivors include her husband,
Pete Harrison of Texarkana; one son and daughter-in-law, Doug and Mary Harrison; two brothers,Donald Hamilton and David Hamilton; one sister, Doris Irons; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at East Funeral Home Chapel, Downtown with Dr. Steven Gibbs officiating. Burial will be in East Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
