Nelle Jane Wood, 92, of Rector, died Saturday, Feb. 26, 2005, at Craighead Nurseing Home in Jonesboro.
She was a retired bookkeeper for the Bank of Rector. Mrs. Wood was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Rector.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Byron C. Wood; her parents, Claude Birl Cain and Sibyl Hayworth; and one sister, Helen Scherstuhl.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Linda Wood of Jonesboro; one sister,Sibyl Ann Beauchamp of Holt Summit, Mo.; two grandchildren, Sarah Manchester and Steve Wood, both of Jonesboro; and one great-grandchild, Marcy Jane Manchester.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 28, 2005, at Irby Funeral Home in Rector with Bro. Larry Bailey officiating. Pallbears were Doyne Webb, Leland Blackshare, Jason Manchester, Richard Benesh, Dewain Sims and Allen Earls.
