HOPE, Ark.—Darlene Phillips Stuart, 71, formerly of Hope died Sunday, Nov. 2, 2014, at her home.
Mrs. Stuart was born April 11, 1943, in Hope. She was employed with Tyson of Hope, attended Mount Pleasant CME Church, and former President of the Missionettes, a teacher with Frances Circle and a member of Haynes Chapel Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, James D. Stuart; two sons, Walter A. White and Kenneth W. White of Hope; five sisters, Earlene Davis of Dallas, Mary Richardson, Dorcene Muldrow and Patsy Lacefield of Hope and Helen Johnson of Washington, D.C.; two brothers, Richard Phillips of Linden, Texas, and Lilton Phillips of Denver, Colo.; and a number of other relatives.
Services will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Haynes Chapel Baptist Church. Burial will be in Giles Cemetery under direction of Hicks Funeral Home.
Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
