Jewell Cunningham Boening, age 93, of Springfield, passed away, July 13, 2010. She was born in Republican, Arkansas, the daughter of John and Alma Mallett Cunningham on August 5, 1916. Jewell was a member of the Springfield United Methodist Church, Eastern Star, and American Legion Auxillary. During World War II she was a welder in the shipyards in California and spent her later life, as a housewife.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Walter Boening of Springfield; a niece, Karen (David) Stell of Springfield; two great nephews, and one great-great nephew.
Funeral services will be Thursday, July 15, at the Springfield United Methodist Church with Pastor A.W. "Hawk" Coleman officiating. Burial will be at Mallettown Cemetery. Arrangements by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton.
