Mrs. Mary Lee Dickerson, 86, of Crossett, died in a Lake Village hospital at 7:15 p.m. Wednesday after a long illness. Mrs. Dickerson, who spent the greater part of her life in Union County, was born near Bolding Nov. 28, 1877, the daughter of Pierce and Theresa Dollar Hayes. She was a charter member of the Jack Mayfield Methodist Church of Huttig. Surviving are a son, Joe Dickerson of McGehee; three daughters, Mrs. W. C. Wiggins of Crossett, Mrs. Era Tomlin of Lonoke and Mrs. Bill Griffith of Hays, Mrs. Maude Wood and Mrs. Ella Mathews, all of El Dorado, Mrs. Edith Sehon of Bolding, and Mrs. Sally Coleson of Felsenthal; 15 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Funeral services have been announced for Friday at 2 p.m. at the Jack Mayfield Methodist Church in Huttig with the Rev. J. J. McKnight and the Rev. J. W. Smith officiating. Burial will be in the Old Lapile Cemetery under the direction of Rumph Mortuary. The body will be taken to the church two hours before the funeral. Active pallbearers will be Troy Dollar, Roland Johnson, Bert Tugwell, Wayne Hendricks, Winfred Brewster and Arvin Mathews. Honorary pallbearers will be Frank Griffin, Gene H. Deal, Ralph Roberts, Willard Rucker and Maurice Plouse. (The El Dorado Times - September 3, 1964)
