Thomas J. Kelly, 74, of 1105 E. Oak St., died Thursday at his home. Born Oct.3, 1896 in Union County, he was the son of John O. and Florence Wooten Kelly. He was a carpenter and a member of Carpenters Local No. 1683. Mr. Kelly was a member of the Huttig Methodist Church. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Grace Kelly of El Dorado; two brothers, Leo Kelly, Huttig, and C. W. Kelly, Alexandria, La; three sisters, Mrs. Julia Wood, El Dorado, Mrs. Gordie Phillips, Huttig, and Mrs. N. S. Cappell, Alexandria, La. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Glenn Morgan and the Rev. Robert Jackson officiating. Burial will be in the Old Lapile Cemetery. The family will be at 1105 E. Oak St. Pallbearers will be Irby Ederington, Johnie Lees, Floyd Babel, Walter Mitcham, B. N. Frisby and L. G. Wells. (El Dorado Times - August 13, 1971)
