Horace the son of John Pleasant Doyle and Susan Luvesta (Callahan) Doyle. Lorene the daughter of Charles Bant Wright and Prudence Jane (Doyle) Wright.

HORACE
HORACE DOYLE-Horace Doyle, aged 74, of Strawberry, died Saturday in the White River Medical Cent in Batesville. Born in Strawberry, he was a lifetime resident of that area.

Doyle was a retired farmer and carpenter and was a member of the Mt. Harmony Free Will Baptist Church where he had served as a deacon and music leader.

Survivors include his wife, Lorene Doyle, a son, Charles Doyle of Strawberry, four daughters, Ann Doyle and Jane Reaves, both of Strawberry, Linda Crabtree of Saffell and Yvonne Phillips of Walnut Ridge, two sisters, Lucy Williams of Strawberry and Sophronia Lancaster of Fort Smith, and eight grandchildren.

Funeral was Monday afternoon at 2:00 in the Mr. Harmony Free Will Baptist Church with David Waltrip and Dennis Artman officiating. Burial was in Ward Cemetery at Strawberry under direction of Higginbotham Funeral Service.

Pallbearers were Billie Saffell, Bobby Dean Huskey, Jerrell Polston, Lavon Huskey, Albert Sharp and Rodney Sharp. Honorary pallbearers were George Powell, Harold Howard, Gerphus Huskey, Gene Jones and Jimmy Crabtree.

LORENE (Wright) Doyle Sullivan
Lorene Wright Doyle Sullivan of Strawberry passed away in her sleep Saturday, Jan. 28, 2012, at the Newport Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Newport at the age of 94 years, 11 months and 28 days, just two days shy of her 95th birthday.

Lorene was born in Lynn to her parents, Charlie and Prudence Wright, on Jan. 30, 1917. She was a homemaker and avid quilter. She also enjoyed gardening and growing flowers. Lorene was an active member of the Mt. Harmony Free Will Baptist Church in Saffell for 75 years, where she was a charter member of the Mt. Harmony Woman's Auxiliary. She taught a Sunday School Class for 50 years and helped with other ministries of the church, including Vacation Bible School.

Lorene was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Prudence Wright; her first husband and father of her children, Horace Doyle, in 1983; her second husband, Coy Sullivan, in 1993; one infant daughter; one infant granddaughter, Penny Crabtree and her brother, Ellis Wright.

Survivors include one son, Charles Doyle and wife Betty of Strawberry; four daughters, Yvonne Phillips and husband Gilbert of Walnut Ridge, Ann Doyle and husband Eddie Ray of Strawberry, Jane Reaves and husband Morris Reaves Jr. of Saffell, and Linda Crabtree and husband Jimmy, also of Saffell. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandson, as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

A celebration of her life was held Tuesday Jan. 31, 2012, at 3 p.m. at the Mt. Harmony Free Will Baptist Church in Saffell with Bro. Stanley Vandergrift officiating. Burial was in the Ward Cemetery located at Strawberry with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.

Pallbearers were her grandsons, Greg Crabtree, Anthony Crabtree, Chuckie Doyle, Phillip Wilson, Chris Wilson, Jody Doyle and Cody Doyle. Honorary pallbearers were her great-grandsons.

Memorials may be made to the Mt. Harmony Free Will Baptist Church, P.O. Box 73, Saffell, AR 72572.
