Ruth Jewell Peace, 88, of El Dorado, AR, died on Tuesday, July 16, 2013, at Hudson Memorial Nursing Home following a lengthy illness.
Ruth was born on April 10, 1925 in Calion, AR; the daughter of Marlin Edward Davis and Mary Jemima Freeman Davis. Ruth had several jobs over the years; however she was primarily a homemaker. She was a Sunday School Teacher and active member of St. Mark United Methodist Church.
Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Peace; her parents; a sister, Flora McGough; and two brothers, Homer Davis and Floyd Davis.
Survivors are her sister, Thelma Jean ( A.C.) Chaney of Port Wentworth, GA; and a brother, Billy R ( Betty Jo ) Davis of Tulsa, OK, along with several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 10:30 am, Saturday, July 20, 2013 at St. Mark United Methodist Church with Rev. Winston Roden and Rev. Mike Proctor officiating. The family will receive friends at the church at 10 am prior to services. Interment will follow at Arlington Memorial Park under the direction of Youngs Funeral Directors. Pallbearers will be Dewayne Brown, Eric Brown, Billy R Davis, Marlin R Davis, Leslie Joe Davis and Ray Coke.

The family wishes to thank the staff of LifeTouch Hospice and Bill Odom and the staff of Hudson Memorial Nursing Home for the loving care provided to Ruth.
