Alice Imogene (Owens) Erwin the wife of John Erwin. Alice Imogene (Owens) Erwin the daughter of Charlie B "Peanut" Owens and Mary Lena (Veal) Owens.
Erwin
Mrs. Imogene Owens Erwin, 69, of Sedgwick, died Tuesday at her residence. She was born in Sedgwick and was a lifetime resident of Sedgwick. She was a homemaker and was retired from Jonathan-Logan Dress Co. She was a member of the Sedgwick United Methodist Church.
Survivors include five daughters, Zelda Smith, Harriet Minton, Charlene White and Brenda Whited, all of Sedgwick, and Alice Roberts of Hoxie; one son, Gary Truxler of Bono; an adopted son, Nick Gerner of Sedgwick; three brothers, Kenny Owens of Nashville, Tenn., Louis Owens of Del Rio, Texas, and Richard Owens of Sedgwick; four sisters, Dollie Farmer and Dodie Morris, both of Wayne, Mich., Virginia Shelley of St. Louis, Mo., and Mary Moskop of Sedgwick; 16 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Erwin, in 1991.
Funeral services will be held at 10 Friday morning in the chapel of the House-Gregg Funeral Home of Walnut Ridge, with Michael Smith and Warner Allen officiating. Burial will be in Old Military Cemetery in Sedgwick.
Active pallbearers will include Anthony Minton, Jonathan Minton, Wesley Minton, Joe Coffey, Shane South, Garrett Truxler, Johnny Johnson and Keith Johnson.
Honorary pallbearers will be Zack Truxler and Dillon Winemiller.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 this evening at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that individuals who wish to leave memorials consider the Arkansas Children's Hospital in Little Rock.
