Luther H. "Tody" Griffith, passed from this life into the arms of his Savior on Sunday, November 15, 2015, at the Medical Center of South Arkansas.
He grew up in Wesson, Arkansas, attended Junction City High School, and Southern State College. He proudly served his country in the Korean War in the United States Army. Tody retired from the United States Post Office and was a member of College Avenue Church of Christ and loved his church family.
Tody loved life and said if he could make someone laugh, it made his day. He was known for his sense of humor and jokes he played on others. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a talented wood worker and many were recipients of his work.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Susie Inell Huitt Boyd, and Luther Herbert Griffith, Sr.; step-father, Joe Boyd; and sister, Kathleen Griffith.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Elizabeth "Liz" Griffith; two daughters, Tobey Lynn Nunnally and husband, Dicky of El Dorado, Tammy Jo Singleton of Tulsa, OK; three grandchildren, William Jerod Nunnally, of Tulsa, OK, Lacey Breanna Nunnally of Maumelle, AR, Tobin Joe Singleton of Tulsa, OK; and one great granddaughter, Trinley JewellAnn Singleton of Tulsa, OK.
Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 18, 2015, at Young's.
A celebration of life service will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 19, 2015, at College Avenue Church of Christ with Kent Jobe, Gary Schloemer, and Jason Bates officiating. Burial will follow at Arlington Memorial Park under the direction of Young's Funeral Directors.
