Joel C. Haltom, 68 died early Monday morning at his home in Prentiss, Miss. He was a native of Nevada County and a Baptist. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Jessie Haltom; one son, J. C. Haltom of Dallas, Texas; one brother, G. W. Haltom of Stephens; three grandchildren and one great grandchild. Funeral services were held Tuesday morning at Saulters Funeral Home in Prentiss. Graveside and burial services will take place Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Mt. Olive Cemetery near Waterloo. Rev. Bruce Murphy of Stephens will officiate. (Camden News - November 17, 1970)
