TEXARKANA — Thomas G. "T.C." Carr, 53, of Texarkana, Texas, died Friday, Oct. 5, 2012. He was born Nov. 14, 1958, in Fayetteville, Ark., to Floyd and Mary Carr.

Thomas was a member of Bowie Street Church of Christ in Texarkana, Texas. He owned Texarkana Computer Repair Service for 20-plus years and continued to serve the community as a prominent businessman, mentor and teacher, including contributing as an instructor at Texarkana College. Thomas will be loved and missed by family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father; son, Franklin Carr; and brother, Dennis Bascom.

Survivors include his daughters, Tara Carr of Farmville, Va., and Quinn Lewis of Houston, Texas; mother, Mary Carr of Fayetteville, Ark.; three sisters, Cathy Cooper and Wanda Carr both of Fayetteville, Ark., and Tami Harden of St. Louis, Mo.; two brothers, Paul Salley of Fayetteville, Ark., and Thomas Bascom of Mississippi; grandchildren, Jalen and Kalen Carr and Jordan Lewis; several nieces and nephews; and a host of family and friends.

The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. at Beard's Funeral Chapel on today, Oct. 12, 2012.

The celebration of life service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012, at Combs Street Church of Christ in Fayetteville, Ark., with Brother Irvine Williams officiating.
