Bessie Trook, 102, of Sterling, Kan. and formerly of Vaughn died Jan. 26, 1993 in Sterling. She was born Aug. 22, 1890 in Vaughn, to Robert and Mary Miller.
Mrs. Trook spent most of her childhood in Vaughn, but also lived in Indian Territory in what is now Oklahoma.
In 1941, she left Arkansas and moved to Modesto, Calif. There, she worked as a nurse.
She moved to Sterling, Kan. in 1985.
A widow, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Eunice Webb; and by an infant son.
Survivors include a daughter, Leta Clemens, of Modesto, Calif.; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and 33 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are 10 a.m. Saturday at Barron Cemetery in Vaughn.
