ROGERS - Floyd "Gene" Kirby, 87, of Rogers, Ark., passed away Thursday, May 28, 2015 at Jamestown Nursing and Rehab. He was born June 6, 1927 to Fred and Catherine Forquer Kirby.

Gene proudly served in the United States Navy during WWII. After his service, he painted homes for many many years.

He was known for sharing his homemade raspberry jelly and chow-chow with friends and family. Gene loved fishing, time in the woods and growing a garden.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three grandchildren.

Gene is survived by his wife of 65 years, Opal Pauline; one son, Scott Kirby and wife, Linda of Rogers, Ark.; three daughters, Debbie Hargrave and husband, Russ of Rogers, Ark., Susan Norton and husband, Randy of Centerton, Ark. and Vicki Booherand and husband, Danny of Rogers, Ark.; three siblings, Charles Kirby, Bobbie Brooks and Doris Gilvin; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., Monday, June 1, 2015, at Stockdale-Moody Funeral Services.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, June 2, 2015, at Barron Cemetery with Pastor Shane Pair and Lynn Brown officiating.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Stockdale-Moody Funeral Services of Rogers. Online condolence may be made to stockdalefuneral.com.

ROGERS - Opal "Pauline" Kirby, 84, of Rogers, Ark., passed away peacefully Friday, June 26, 2015, at her home. She was born Dec. 29, 1930, in Centerton, Ark., to Paul and Bessie Mae Huddleston Koons.

Pauline was known for love of talking with everyone and remembering every detail about them, as well as their families. She was deeply loved by her friends and family.

She was a member of Centerton United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Floyd "Gene" Kirby; her parents; three grandchildren; and brother, Bill Koons.

Pauline is survived by a son, Scott Kirby and wife, Linda of Rogers, Ark.; three daughters: Debbie Hargrave and husband, Russ of Rogers, Ark., Susan Norton and husband, Randy of Centerton, Ark., and Vicki Booher and husband, Danny of Rogers, Ark.; a brother, James Koons of Rogers, Ark.; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, June 30, 2015, at Stockdale-Moody Funeral Services of Rogers with the Rev. Sandra Wanasek officiating.

Burial will be at Barron Cemetery.

Visitation will be at 10 a.m. until service time.
