MRS. ADA CHECK OF CHECK’S CORNER DEAD
Mrs. Ada Check, wife of X.S. Check, died Sunday at the family home at Check’s Corner, west of Gravette, where she had lived for nearly 50 years. She was 70 years of age. Death was due to pneumonia. Funerals services were held Tuesday afternoon with burial in a local cemetery.
Mrs. Check was widely known for establishing a rural library at her home for the young people. People all over the county donated more than 2,000 volumes to the library.
