Olen Harding Easterling, 84, of Fayetteville died May 10, 2005, at Fayetteville. He was born Dec. 26, 1920, in Huntsville, the son of Hosie and Flora Inman Easterling. He attended the First Free Will Baptist Church in Fayetteville. He retired from Campbell Soup Co. His wife, Dixie May Williams Easterling, preceded him in death on Jan. 16, 2001.

Survivors include one son, Gerald Easterling and wife Glenda of Carrollton, Texas; three daughters, Freda Easterling of Fayetteville, Reba Cunningham and husband Merle of Searcy and Norma Easterling of Fayetteville; seven grandchildren, Brian Murphy, Steve Easterling, Brad Easterling, Logan Gray, Donny Gray, Lesley Gray and Erika Gray; two brothers, Noel Easterling of Springdale and Odell Easterling of Springdale; three sisters, Veda Keck, Wilda Keck and Lougene Parker, all of Huntsville.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today, May 12 at Calvary Free Will Baptist Church in Springdale with the Rev. Jim Spurlock and the Rev. Clark Snow officiating. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery under the direction of Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home in Springdale.

Pallbearers will be Tommy Easterling, Terry Easterling, Wendell Easterling, Morris Easterling, Michael Williams and
Larry Easterling.

Dixie May Easterling, 80, of Fayetteville, died January 18, 2001 at her home. She was born October 23, 1920 at Kings River, Arkansas, the daughter of Jack and Sarah Williams. She retired from Campbell Soup Company in Fayetteville. She was a charter member of Fayetteville First Free Will Baptist Church. She was very active in the Ladies Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Norma Lee Easterling; two brothers, Ed and Willie Williams; three sisters, Janie Burks, Mamie Baughman and Maggie Baughman, and one son-in-law, Arley Murphy, Jr.

Survivors include her husband, Olen Easterling of the home, to whom she married June 14, 1940; one son and daughter-in-law, Gerald and Glenda Easterling of Carrolton, Texas; two daughters, Freda Easterling of Fayetteville and Reba Murphy of Pangburn, Arkansas; two brothers, Fletcher Williams of Fayetteville and Troy Williams of Springdale; two sisters, Helen Winn of Greenland and Lougene Jones of Huntsville; three grandsons, Brian Murphy of Pangburn, Steve Easterling and Brad Easterling, both of Dallas, Texas; one granddaughter, Lesley and husband Donny Gray of Pangburn; one great-grandson and one great-granddaughter, Logan Gray and Erika Gray of Pangburn; two brothers-in-law, Noel Easterling and Odel Easterling; three sisters-in-law, Veda Keck, Wilda Keck and Lougene Parker.

Funeral services were held Saturday, January 19, 2001 at Fayetteville First Free Will Baptist Church with the Revs. Jim Spurlock and Danny Phillips officiating. Burial was in Friendship Cemetery. Pallbearers were Michael Williams, Ricky Williams, Jimmy Dale Williams, Andy Winn, Terry Easterling, Wendall Easterling, Bill Jones, and Bob Jones.

Memorials may be made to the Washington Regional Hospice, Fayetteville, or First Free Will Baptist Church in Fayetteville.
