FAYETTEVILLE — Shirley Jean Belt, 71, of Fayetteville died Sept. 14, 2011, in Fayetteville. She was born April 21, 1940, in Hartman, Ark., to Raymond Francis and Velda Little Self.
She loved quilting and spending time with her grandkids and friends and church family. She attended Unity Covenant Church in West Fork.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and one daughter, Donna Christine Belt.
She is survived by her husband, Leroy Belt, whom she married Aug. 17, 1955; one daughter, Glenda Irene Henson and husband Garland of Fayetteville; one sister, Frances Vaught and husband Stanley of Fayetteville; two grandchildren, Melissa Loftin and husband Todd of Springdale, and Vanessa Redding and husband Brad of Farmington; five great-grandchildren, Rylee, Reagan and Reece Loftin of Springdale and Jazlin and Blayden Redding of Farmington; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are 10 a.m. Friday at Beard's Funeral Chapel, with the Revs. Brian Bowerman and Brad Redding officiating. Burial will be in Mount Comfort Cemetery.
Visitation will be today from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
