FAYETTEVILLE — Joyce Behl, age 83, of Fayetteville passed over to her Lord and Savior Sept. 26, 2013, after a short illness at Washington Regional Medical Center. She was born Feb. 19, 1930, in Fayetteville, Ark., the daughter of Arthur Clyde Hart and Opal Weir Hart.
She was a lifelong member of Mount Comfort Presbyterian Church in Fayetteville.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her beloved husband of 61 years, Aaron "Bud" Behl Jr.; two brothers, Dale Hart and Clurles Hart; and two sisters, Carolyn Johnson and Bonnie Guin.
She is survived by her two daughters, Susan Carol Thomas and her husband, Mike, of Fayetteville, and Linda Kay Behl, also of Fayetteville; four grandchildren, Mark Thomas of Bentonville, Hannah Thomas of Fayetteville, Rachael Hinton and her husband, Jim, of Akron, Ohio, and Robin Rhoades of Tulsa, Okla.; three great-grandchildren, McKenzie Thomas, Nicole Hinton, Jack Hinton; and great-granddaughter to be, Sydney; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held 2 to 4 p.m. today, Sept. 29, 2013, at Moore's Chapel in Fayetteville.
A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Monday at Mount Comfort Presbyterian Church, with interment in Mount Comfort Cemetery following the service.
A short gathering of family and friends will follow in the Fellowship Hall across from the church.
