November 18, 1919 - March 21, 1968
Joseph Edward Mason, 48, of Dallas, Tex., died at his home Thursday. Born in El Dorado, Dec. 18, 1919, he was the son of Harvey L. Mason, Sr. and Sula Goodwin Mason. Mr. Mason lived in El Dorado before moving to Dallas four years ago. Survivors include a stepmother, Mrs. Sue Mason of Benton; two aunts, Mrs. John Rickman and Mrs. Harry H. Bird, both of El Dorado; and an uncle, H. S. Mason of Independence, Mo. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Rumph Mortuary Chapel with the Rev. Sam Shepperson officiating. Burial will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Mack Cook, Joe E. Jones, Clarence Buckner, Fred Davidson, Donald Moore and Glenn Holmes. (El Dorado Times - March 26, 1968)
