August 25, 1889 - April 2, 1969
Maud Ballard Frutell, 79, of El Dorado, died in a local nursing home Wednesday following a lengthy illness. Mrs. Frutell was born Aug. 25, 1889, in Union County, the daughter of Jake and Ellen Hubbard Ballard. She was a lifelong resident of this area and a member of the Friendship Methodist Church. Survivors include two sons, Joe Williamson, El Dorado; one half-sister, Mrs. Nola Murphy, Odessa, Tex.; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday in the Lisbon Methodist Church with the Rev. Ralph Hale officiating. Burial will follow in the Lisbon Cemetery under the direction of Rumph Mortuary. Pallbearers will be Joe Williamson, Jim Williamson, Gerral Williamson, Emon Flournoy, J. S. Ballard and Shelton Yarbrough. (El Dorado Times - April 26, 1969)
