CAWTHON, D.W. - Funeral service for D.W. Cawthon, 65 years old, who died at his home four miles northwest of Rogers Wednesday afternoon, was held at Appleby cemetery near Fayetteville yesterday afternoon. Mr. Cawthon was born April 27, 1864 in Kentucky. He moved to Missouri in young manhood, marrying Miss Emma Grove on July 24, 1883. They moved to Fayetteville shortly afterwards and have spent the remainder of their life in Washington and Benton counties. He is the father of twelve children, seven of whom are living. They are Mrs. T.L. Vansandt and Mrs. J.W. Dutton of Rogers, Mrs. Louis Fletcher of Springdale, H.M. and A.W. of Wichita, G.R. of Bentonville and W.D. of the home address. His wife also is living. Funeral was conducted by Rev. Ed Freshlog of Fayetteville with J.W. Bryant in charge.

D.W. Cawthorn died at his home northeast of Bentonville September 4th at the age of 65 years. Funeral services were held and burial made in Appleby cemetery near Fayetteville Thursday. Mr. Cawthorn was born in 1864 in Kentucky and moved to Missouri in young manhood, marrying Miss Emma Grove July 24, 1883. Most of his life was spent in Washington County near Fayetteville and in Bentonville. He was the father of 12 children, seven of whom are living. Surviving are his widow, his daughters, Mrs. R.L. Vansandt, Mrs. J.W. Dutton of Rogers, Mrs. Louis Fletcher of Springdale and his sons, H.M. and A.W. of Wichita, G.R. of Bentonville and W.D. of the home address.
