Sandra Claudette Edwards, 61, of Mayflower, found eternal peace on Monday, May 18, 2009. She was born on November 20, 1947 in Little Rock, Arkansas to the late, Willie Marie Callihan Stane Bradford of Conway and Claude Franklin Stane of Little Rock. Sandra retired after 29 years of service with the City of Little Rock. She is preceded in death by her parents; her beloved and only son, Benjy; and brother, Kenneth Brucks (Shirley).
Sandra leaves to cherish her memory, her loving sister, Andrea C. Stane (Perry) of North Little Rock; brothers, Jimmie L. Brucks of North Little Rock and Danny F. Stane, Sr. of Mayflower; and a host of nieces, nephews, as well as many friends.
A kind and gentle soul taken too soon, she leaves behind the memory of a warm and loving smile and sense of humor that those who knew and loved her will never forget. She is reunited with her beloved son whose passing was more than a mother’s heart could bear.
Funeral services will held at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Chapel on Thursday, May 21, 2009 at 10:00am, with burial at Spring Hill Cemetery to follow in Spring Hill, Arkansas. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00pm on Wednesday, May 20 at the funeral home.
Arrangements are under the direction of Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home, 7724 Landers Road, North Little Rock, Arkansas 72117, 501-835-3515.
