Gladys Dee (Snow) McCollum, 92, of Greenbrier, Arkansas, died Monday, February 9, 2009. She was born November 14, 1916 in Greenbrier, Arkansas, a daughter of the late Thomas F. and Minnie Vivian (Akin) Snow. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William Joseph McCollum; a son, Billy Owen McCollum; and brothers, Olen and Alton Snow.
Mrs. McCollum was a member of Springhill Baptist Church, and was church pianist for over fifty years.
She is survived by her children, Helen Tapley (Charles); Tom McCollum (Pat); Rick McCollum (Deb) and a special daughter-in-law, Becky McCollum, all of Springhill; grandchildren, Vickie Elliott, Gayla Sybert, Cheryl Sager, Deanna Frank, Bill Bob, Mark, Brooke, Jace and Jana McCollum; and great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
General visitation will beTuesday, February 10, at the funeral home until 9:00 p.m. Funeral will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 11, at Springhill Baptist Church with Bro. Ed Stephenson officiating. Burial will follow in Springhill Cemetery, under the direction of Roller-McNutt Funeral Home of Greenbrier. 501-679-2575.
A visitation and reception will follow services at Burgess Family Center.
