Obituary
Mildred Beene Langford, 96, of Conway, went to be with the Lord Monday, April 27, 2015. She was born March 10, 1919, in Greenbrier to the late Sam David Beene and Flossie Mae Cantrell Beene. She was preceded in death by husbands Faber Watson, Leo Martin, and Dalton Langford, daughter Ruth Watson Wilcox, brother Sam D. Beene , sisters, Sarah Ellen Beene, Clarice Beene Wofford Fielder, grandson Sam Wilcox, and nephew Gene Wofford. She was also preceded in death by a very special aunt, Francis Cantrell Denton, whom she loved like a mother.

Mildred lived life to the fullest. She had a keen sense of humor and an incomparable, sharp mind to the very end. She loved all people from all walks of life and this was never more evident than during her many years of employment at the Conway Human Development Center and later as the Director of the Faulkner County Senior Citizens Center. She was lovingly known by most as “Mama Mildred”. She was generous, a wonderful cook, a serious homemaker and would welcome anyone into her home. There will never be anyone else like her; she was one-of-a-kind and her memory will be treasured forever.

She is survived by her loving son Kelley Watson, son-in-law Kenneth Wilcox, step-children Dalton (Linda) Langford, JoAnn VonEckberg, Vickie (Ray) Glover, three grandchildren Kenny Wilcox (Suzi), Kay Ferguson (Mike), and Suellen Davidson (Pat), a nephew Steve Beene, a niece Luana Beene, several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM Friday, May 1st, 2015 at Roller-McNutt funeral home in Conway with Chaplin Ron Byrd officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service. Burial will follow at Springhill Cemetery, Springhill, AR. The Pallbearers will be Kenny Wilcox, Steve Beene, Mike Ferguson, Pat Davidson, Vonda Bailey, and Judith Freese.

The family would like to extend special thanks to the entire staff at Hospice Home Care and her two loving care-givers, Judith Freese and Vonda Bailey.
