Lonzo F. Stanley Jr., 90, of Conway passed from this life on Sunday, September 20, 2015. He was born March 25, 1925 in Hagerville, Arkansas to the late Lonzo F. Stanley Sr. and Beulah Pitts Stanley. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Frankie Stanley; a brother, Edgar Lee Stanley; and a sister, Mildred Galloway.
Lonzo served honorably in the Navy and was a veteran of World War II. He also was a Master Mason and a member of the Shriners. He was a General Contractor and his greatest passion next to his family was building. He was an avid UCA football supporter. He loved the Bears.
He is survived by his longtime companion, Helen Stanley; his children, Charlotte Lefler (Larry) of Maumelle, James Stanley (Laura) of Frisco, Texas and Tracy Cogdill (Kenny) of Rogers; two brothers, William Stanley (Mary) of Marked Tree and James Stanley (Jean) of Cordoba, Tennessee; two sisters, Margaret Love (Charles) of Jackson, Tennessee and Novella Short of Blacksburg, Virginia; three granddaughters; two step-grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
A Graveside Service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, September 24, 2015 at Republican Cemetery in Greenbrier. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 6 – 8 pm at Roller McNutt Funeral Home in Conway.
