Minnie “Ester” Harmon, longtime resident of Damascus, entered the gates of heaven to meet Pa and Ma (King David and Serena Winfrey) with joyous rejoicing and open arms Oct. 21, 2010. She is also celebrating this heavenly reunion were her late husband Cecil H. Harmon, young son Cecil Edward Harmon, sisters Dovie Hudspeth and Hattie Winfrey, brothers Elmer, Earl, Virgil, and Jack Winfrey, son-in-laws Milburn Thomas and Wayne Linn. What a glorious family reunion was enjoyed on this very day with our Lord Jesus Christ!

She was born in Higden on March 31, 1918. Left to miss her in this temporary home are her beloved brother Dee Winfrey (Margie) and sisters Myrtle Hensley of Damascus and Pauline Hendricks of Bethalto, Ill.; three daughters, Peggy Linn and Martha Thomas of Damascus, and Cheryl (David) Jones of Morrilton; two sons, J.D. (Anna) Harmon of Conway and Danny (Judy) Harmon of Damascus. Also surviving are 17 grandchildren, Mark (Beth) Linn of Greenbrier, Tanya Thomas of Damascus, Teresa (Rich) Townsend of Elkhart, Mo., Chris (Kim) Jones of Greenbrier, Chelsea (Roberto) Morales of Morrilton, Derek (Sharon) Harmon of Conway, Doug (Terry) Harmon of Mount Vernon, Dodd (Christie) Harmon of Conway, Dana (Bill)Brown, Cecil (Lori) Harmon, Danny Joe (Amanda) Harmon, Crystal Freeman of Greenbrier, Diehlon Rappold and Hunter Harmon all of Damascus; Jennifer Blaylock of Valdosta, Georgia; Megan Shriek and Valerie Hood of Springfield, Mo., 45 great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers will be her pride and joy her “good looking” grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be her great- and great-great-grandsons, Colby Linn, Landon, Lane and Alex Wallace; Heath Thomas, Chance and Caleb Squires, Sebastian Burris, Christian Morales, Josh Harmon, Price Harmon, Zachary Brown, Bradley and Zack Brinley, DJ and Bo Harmon, Johnathon Freeman, Tommy and Will Fitzgerald, Hunter Squires and Tyler Rowell.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Sunday at Roller-McNutt Funeral home in Greenbrier. An additional viewing will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at the old home place at 276 Highway 124 in Damascus.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church of Damascus with Bro. Thomas Stover officiating, Bro. Steve Stephens and Bro. Daniel Williamson assisting. Internment will be at the Martinville Cemetery immediately following.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Annie Hale who aided in her care during the last few years of her life and to Judy Harmon who gave of herself and of her life to make her last years on this earth
