PRAIRIE GROVE — Fred Howell Foren, 93, a resident of Prairie Grove, passed away Jan. 24, 2014, in Prairie Grove. He was born Aug. 21, 1920, in Strickler, Ark., the son of Lon and Eulla Carney Foren.
Fred retired from Ozarks Electric after over 25 years of service. He was a member of the New Sulphur Free Will Baptist Church. Fred served in the United States Air Force during World War II.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lena Bartholomew Foren; and four brothers, Blumer, Garland, Lonnie and Roy Foren.
Survivors include one son, Gary Foren of Prairie Grove; one daughter, Jeannie Ward of Prairie Grove; three grandchildren, Andrea Foren, Jonathan Ward and Christy Ray; four great-grandchildren, Madison Vinson, Ashton Bishop, Jackson and Jasmin Ray.
Family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6 to 7 p.m. at Luginbuel Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be held Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2014, 2 p.m. at Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove. Burial will be in Fall Creek Cemetery in Strickler, Ark.
Pallbearers will be Jonathan Ward, Carl Bartholomew, Doug Bartholomew, Carlis Bartholomew, Leonard McMurry, J.G. Ward and Roy English.

PRAIRIE GROVE — Lena Mae Bartholomew Foren, 80, of Prairie Grove died Sept 5, 2005, at Prairie Grove. She was born Jan. 12, 1925, in Strickler to John Arthur and Mary Melissa Sawyer Bartholomew. She was a licensed practical nurse for 54 years working at the Mock Clinic and the Diagnostic Clinic. She attended the New Sulphur Freewill Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Fred Foren of the home; one son, Gary Foren and wife Margie of Prairie Grove; one daughter, Jeannie Ward of Prairie Grove; two brothers, Dale Bartholomew of Olathe, Kan., and Wayne Bartholomew of Prairie Grove; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at New Sulphur Freewill Baptist Church in Prairie Grove with Glen Faulkner officiating. Burial will be in Fall Creek Cemetery at Strickler.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at Luginbuel Funeral Home in Prairie Grove.
Pallbearers will be Carl Bartholomew, Doug Bartholomew, Eugene Elkins, Pat McMurry, Carlos Bartholomew and Jimmy Bartholomew.
Honorary pallbearers will be J.G. Ward and Roy English.
