Joe C. Bailey, age 87 of Conway died Tuesday, February 28, 2006 at Conway Regional Hospital. He was born October 11, 1918 in Robertsville (Conway County), the son of James Edward and Tennie (Riddling) Bailey. Joe was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Lucille (Talley) Bailey. He was a member of Second Baptist Church and had retired from the Conway Human Development Center in 1981 after 20 years of employment at that institution. A son, Kenneth Bailey and wife Peggy of Guy, Arkansas and a daughter, Linda McKim and her husband Jim, of Conway survive him. Other survivors include grandchildren Steve McKim and wife Arlene of Caddo, Oklahoma and Susan Birdsong and husband Gerald, Jr. of Conway; great-grandchildren Shawn Harris of Conway, Christie Birdsong of Conway and Josh McKim of Caddo, Oklahoma and sister Mae Linn of St. Joseph, Missouri. Funeral services will be Friday, 2:00 pm, March 3rd, at Second Baptist Church officiated by Dr. Mark Dance with interment at Martinville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 pm Thursday at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home (501.327.7727). Pallbearers are: G.L. Griffin, Raymond Brown, Pat Sowell, Adrian Harrington, Charles Smith, Dan White and Don Hilliard.
