Joseph G. Major, 81, of Rogers, died Monday, Feb. 22, at St. Mary's Hospital, Rogers. He was born Oct. 4, 1911, in Hungary to Joseph and Mary Keller Major. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and worked most of his life as an accountant.
Survivors are his wife, Anne Major of the home; two sons, Joseph Major Jr. of Houston, Martin Major of Tampa, Fla.; two daughters, Catherine Garcia and Joanne Bingham, both of Rogers; three sisters, Vera Trumpp and Minmie Pecsi, both of California, Mary Andreasen of Rogers; and eight grandchildren.
Funeral mass is set for 2 p.m. Thursday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church with Mike Sinkler officiating. Burial will be at St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery, Rogers. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. today at Rollins Funeral Home, Rogers,
Memorials may be made to St. Vincent de Paul Building Fund, Rogers or to the American Heart Association.
