Ila Gene Andrews, 82, a resident of Russellville, died Wednesday, August 31, 2011, at Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center.

She was born October 8, 1928, at Dover to Granvil and Mattye Cromwell Tate Johnson.

She was a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star and worked many years as a bookkeeper for the family business, Andrews and Sons Concrete.

She was a great mother and grandmother and was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bervle "B. B." Andrews; five brothers, Tate, Monroe, R. H., Edward "Ed" and Luther Johnson; two sisters, Pauline Dare and Margaret Irene Andrews.

Survivors include four sons and a daughter-in-law, Boyd Lee Andrews, Stanley Eugene and Iryna Andrews, Terry Randall Andrews and Glenn Dale Andrews, all of Russellville; two grandsons, Christopher Andrews of Russellville and Bryan Andrews of Atkins; and several nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, September 3, 2011, at Crossroads Cemetery near Appleton with the Rev. Redmond Eubanks officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service.

Pallbearers will Paul Johnson, Jerry Johnson, Mike Johnson, Samuel Andrews, Bryan Andrews and Allen Andrews.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
