Walter Ezekial ANDERS/ANDREWS was the son of Samuel Albert ANDERS/ANDREWS & Emily (BOEN) ANDERS. ANDERS is the surname that is on Samuel and Emley's tombstone. Sometime after 1900, Walter's father, Samuel Albert ANDERS changed his surname from ANDERS to ANDREWS. Samuel ANDERS was born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama and his parents were Franklin & Emily (WINTERS) ANDERS. Walter married Ammil "Amy" Ethel (PATTERSON) in 1909.
Ethel was born 04 JAN 1892 in , Van Buren, ARKANSAS. Ethel D: 22 JAN 1968 and is buried in the CROSSROADS CEMETERY, HECTOR, ARKANSAS.

Mrs. Ethel Patterson Andrews, 77, of 514 North Erie died Monday at her home.
She was the widow of Walter E. Andrews, daughter of the late Henry and Matilda Bowen Patterson, a native of Van Buren County and a Cumberland Presbyterian.
Survivors include five sons, Clifton, Samuel, Bervel B., Doyle D., and Walter J. Andrews, all of Russellville; four daughters, Mrs. Berlin Wooten of Hector, Mrs. Robert Willoughby and Mrs. James Jamell of Russellville, and Mrs. Dewayne Curnett of Kansas City, MO; two brothers, Fate Patterson of England and Duel Patterson of Russellville; a half-brother, C.Z. Harris of Russellville; two sisters, Mrs. Roy Lawrence of CA and Mrs. A.J. Moore of Russellville; 26 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services were at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at te Cumberland Presbyterian church by the Rev. Franklin Chestnut. Burial was in Crossroads Cemetery near Appleton by Shinn and Son Funeral Service.
Grandsons served as pallbearers.
