GREENLAND — George Ledbetter, 80, of Greenland died March 18, 2004, at his home. He was born May 16, 1923, at Drakes Creek to William Isiah and Elva Sisemore Ledbetter. He was a retired supervisor from George's Egg Plant and was a member of Sang Avenue Baptist Church. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was preceded in death by two sons, James Ledbetter and Tommy Ledbetter.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Napier Ledbetter one son. Greg Ledbetter of Fayetteville; three daughters, Lynne Anderson of Greenland, Amanda Carnes of Springdale and Rose Clendenen of Bella Vista; four brothers, Afton Ledbetter of Huntsville, Junior Ledbetter of Georgetown, Kenneth Ledbetter of Wesley and Carl Ledbetter of Draketown; three sisters, Mildred Duncan of Drakes Creek, Wanda Boyd of Drakestown and Genevieve Guinn of Georgetown; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Sang Avenue Baptist Church. Burial will be in Baptist Ford Cemetery under the direction of Moore's Chapel in Fayetteville.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Moore's.

Memorials may be made to Washington Regional Medical Center Hospice, 34 W. Colt Square, Suite 1, Fayetteville, 72703, or Sang Avenue Baptist Church, 1425 N. Sang Ave., Fayetteville, 72703.
