Gladys Vialittia Tinker, 83, of Hoxie, died July 23, 2015.
Born Dec. 1, 1931, in Wheeler, Texas, she was the daughter of Walter and Nancy Josephine Bales Duncan. She was a lifelong resident of Hoxie and a member of the Hoxie United Methodist Church. She was a homemaker, a retired beautician and Scrabble Queen.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Reukauf Tinker; and two sisters, Rosie Casper and Alien Moody.
Survivors include a son Lanny Tinker and wife Lida, Hoxie; a daughter, Mitzi Tinker, Jonesboro; two sisters, Minerva Smith and Beatrice Smith; two brothers, Bobby Duncan and Benny Duncan; three granddaughters, Melanie Volner and Laura Prondzinski, both of Jonesboro, and Lindsey Davis, Bay; and five great-grandchildren, Jordan Volner, Madeleine Volner, Emma Prondzinski, Caden Prondzinski and Chloe Prondzinski.
Funeral was Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at HouseGregg Funeral Home with Gary Whiles officiating. Burial was in Lawrence Memorial Park.
Pallbearers were Jordan Volner, Matthew Blansett, Daniel Prater, Jeff Ball, Jamie Tinker and Travis Tinker.
