LOCATION: Bethel Cemetery is located NW of Benton and NE of Salem. From the intersection of I430 and Highway 5 drive approximately 8 miles SW to the intersection of Spring Hill Rd. and Hwy 5. Turn right and travel 2.4 miles to the intersection of Spring Hill and Northlake Road. Turn left and travel 2 miles. This takes you to the third house pass Hickory Creek Drive (new subdivision). This unmarked overgrown road takes you approximately 800 feet NW to the cemetery. Best to contact property owners since there was lots of problems when they deeded the lots for the new subdivision vs dedicated land for the cemetery and where the cemetery actually is located.
LEGAL: Located in part of the NE 1/4 of the NW ¼ of Section 7, Township 1 South, Range 14 West.

CONDITION: This is an abandoned cemetery. At one time there was an active cemetery association. No sign of an effort to maintain this cemetery. Over 50 pine trees in the 5’ range are growing randomly throughout the 120’ x 120’ barb wire fenced area.
AGE: Earliest grave is 1896 and most recent 1942
GRAVES: 1976 Inscription survey by Kenneth Floyd listed 20 graves. Ark Arch Survey map of their study shows possible indications of 20 or more burial sites.
