Johnye Martin Ducker, daughter of the late Ezra Martin and Eleanor Magness Martin, was born August 31, 1924. She departed this life July 19, 2015 in Calico Rock, Arkansas at the age of 90 years, 10 months and 18 days. She was a life long resident of Calico Rock. She was a 1942 graduate of Calico Rock High School. She was united in marriage to Johnny Lyndell Ducker February 1, 1946, at the time of Johnny’s death they were married 51 years. She was employed by Baxter Lab of Mountain Home, retiring after 23 years. She was of the Methodist faith and a long time member of the Methodist Church in Calico Rock.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law: Dennis and Loretta Ducker of North Little Rock; one daughter and son-in-law: Eleanor Sue and Bill Thomas of New Blaine, Arkansas; five grandchildren: Greg Ducker of North Little Rock, Sara Sherrod (Clarke) of North Little Rock, Rachel Loretz (Brady) of Benton, Rocky Thomas (Mandy) of Clinton, Rusty Thomas (Alison) stationed in San Antonio, Texas; seven great grandchildren and one more expected in October and a host of other relatives and many good friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
Funeral service will be Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Calico Rock Funeral Chapel with Mark Rivers and Rocky Thomas officiating. Burial will be at Roselawn Cemetery under the direction of Eddie’s Family Funeral Home in Calico Rock. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 22 from 6-8 p.m. at Eddie’s Family Funeral Home in Calico Rock.
Pallbearers: Rocky Thomas, Rusty Thomas, Greg Ducker, Clarke Sherrod, Brady Loretz and Jimmy Allen.
