February 21, 1926 - October 28, 1969
Harold Milburn Purtle, 43, of No. 2 Cranke Court, El Dorado, died Tuesday morning in a North Little Rock hospital following a lengthy illness. Born April 20, 1926, in Rosston, he was the son of Robert L and Imo Gene Crouch Purtle. He was of the Baptist faith. A retired driller, he had been a resident of El Dorado for approximately 34 years. He was a veteran of the Korean conflict and of World War II during which he served with the United States Army Combat Engineers. Survivors include his mother Mrs. Imo Gene Purtle of El Dorado; two daughters, Miss Teresa Purtle and Miss Peggy Purtle, both of El Dorado; four brothers, Homer Purtle, Robert Purtle, Grady Purtle. all of El Dorado, and Elvin Purtle of Boston, Mass. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Young's Chapel with the Rev. Tom E. Bray and the Rev. Tommy Robertson officiating. Burial will be in Bluff Springs Cemetery near Rosston. The family will be at No. 2 Cranke Court. (El Dorado Times - October 28, 1969)
