Daniel Maurice Marshall, Sr., 85 year old resident of Gravette, Arkansas, died October 29, 2014 at Siloam Springs Nursing and Rehab. Born October 19, 1929 in Pineland, Texas, he was the son of Van Daniel Marshall and Bessie Gray Marshall. Daniel married Johnnie Mae Hawthorn in Pineland, Texas, on September 12, 1950. He worked as a plant operator for El Paso Natural Gas before they moved to Arkansas from McLean, Texas in 1985.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Johnnie; and one granddaughter, Danielle Michelle Marshall.

Survivors include one son, Daniel Maurice Marshall, Jr. and wife Imelda Marshall-Berrospe of Decatur, Arkansas; one daughter, Linda Marie Hodges of Dallas, Texas; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one sister, Alice Peters.

Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, November 3, 2014 at Maysville Cemetery, Maysville, Arkansas, with Mr. Jim Whisenant officiating. Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Monday, November 3, 2014 at Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs, Arkansas.

Johnnie Mae Marshall, 81, of Gravette, Arkansas, died April 13, 2013, at her home. Born January 27, 1932, in Kirbyville, Texas, she was the daughter of Escar Earl Hawthorne and Winnie Mae Brown Hawthorne. Johnnie married Daniel Maurice Marshall in Pineland, Texas, on September 12, 1950. They moved to Arkansas from McLean, Texas in 1985. She attended Maysville Bible Church, Maysville, Arkansas.

She was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Danielle Michelle Marshall.

Survivors include her husband Dan of 62 years; one son, Daniel Maurice Marshall, Jr. and wife Imelda Marshall-Berrospe of Decatur, Arkansas; one daughter, Linda Marie Hodges of Lewisville, Texas; four grandchildren, DJ Hodges and wife Alondra of Oklahoma City, Jennifer Steelman and husband Joe of the The Colony, Texas, Daniel Marshall III and wife Maria of San Antonio, Texas, and Benito Rebollar of Decatur, Arkansas; three great-grandchildren, Chelsea Hodges, Emily Faith and Samuel Steelman.

Pallbearers will be Daniel Marshall Jr., D.J. Hodges, Benito Robollar, Joe Steelman, Walter McAdoo, and Ronnie Ward. Honorary pallbearer will be Daniel Marshall III.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 17, 2013, at Maysville Bible Church, Maysville, Arkansas, with Mr. Jim Whisenant officiating. Burial will follow at Maysville Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 16, at Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs, Arkansas.
