Wife of J M Waddle
February 16, 1855 - January 9, 1916
*obituary
Nevada County Picayune - March 2, 1916 - Prescott, Arkansas
On the morning of Jan. 16, 1916 the death Angel called at the home of James M. Waddle and claimed for his victim the wife and mother Bettie Lambert Waddle. Mrs. Waddle was born in Alabama Feb. 16, 1855, and with her parents moved to Arkansas when but a child. She is survived by her husband, three sons, two daughters and a host of relatives and friends. Converted at an early age. Mrs. Waddle lived a consistent christian life which was an inspiration to all who knew her. She was so patient and so kind that to know her was to love her and the influence of her Godly life will never die. To you dear friends, I am sure this is the darkest hour of your life and your hearts are filled with poignant sorrow, but there is no night so utterly cheerless that we may not look for the dawn. We know that she is safe in the arms of Jesus and in the morning of the Resurrection we shall meet to part never again. Think not of your loved one as being dead, but just out of sight, around a turn in the road, and pray to the Father for strength and comfort in this sad hour.
